[WE ACT]

For the planet.

We are on a journey to sustainably change the way we operate. We have set 2025 and 2030 goals to hold ourselves accountable.

Our 3 pillars: Reduce, Reuse & Recycle.

Our packaging circularity strategy revolves around 3 pillars: Reduce, Reuse & Recycle.

Where we are today:

Reduce: we have reduced the amount of packaging we use in our iNOA color range by 25% and have launched refills for our 1.5L shampoos.
Reuse: we have replaced 400 tons of virgin plastic with recycled plastic.
Our iNOA and Dia Light color tubes are made from 95% recycled aluminum.
Recycle: we have equipped 3,000 salons globally with recycling systems to divert 110 tons of waste annually.

Our 2030 goals:

Reduce by 20% the amount of packaging per g of formula.
Reuse 95% of our plastic and aluminum packaging will be made from recycled materials.
Recycle and reuse 100% of our plastic packaging will be reusable, recyclable or compostable.

We manufacture our products with 100% renewable energy.

Today, 90% of L’Oréal Professionnel products are manufactured in factories using 100% renewable energy.

Where we are today:

100% of L’Oréal Professionnel products manufactured in Western Europe, Canada, the United States China & India are produced in a carbon neutral factory.

Our 2025 goal:

100% of our owned and operated sites will be carbon neutral.

We Act on transparency sharing environmental scores of our products.

We are committed to not only improving the environmental and social footprint of our products but to also sharing this information with our community so they can make informed choices.

Over 75% of the environmental footprint of our haircare products occurs when they are rinsed out.
It’s therefore critical to help our partners make more informed decisions.
All our retail hair care products have been scored on a scale of “A” to “E”.
Products with an “A” are considered “best in class” in terms of its environmental impacts in its category.
